Area Served

The Southwest Suburban Center on Aging covers a twenty-two community service area located within Lyons, Riverside and south Proviso Townships. The boundary lines of the agency are: 87th Street on the south, Roosevelt Road on the north, Harlem Avenue on the east and County Line Road on the west. The following communities are included within this area:

Driving Directions

From the North: Take La Grange Road South past Ogden Avenue. Turn right on Harris Avenue. The Center is on the right hand side of the street.
From the South: Take La Grange Road North into downtown La Grange. Turn left on Harris Avenue. The Center is on the right hand side of the street.

Public Transportation

Metra: On the Burlington Northern line, exit the train at the La Grange Rd. stop. Cross the tracks at La Grange Rd. Walk one block South, turn right onto Harris Avenue. Walk one block west and the Center is on the right.

PACE: On the #330 line, exit the bus at the La Grange Rd. and Harris stop. Walk one block west and the Center is on the right Top of page

Senior Bus Transportation

Older adults in the Lyons Township section of the Center's service area can take advantage of the Lyons Township transportation system.

For those living in other parts of the Center's service area including Riverside and south Proviso Townships, the Center operates a bus weekly.  This bus provides needed transportation for older adults to and from the Center, to area hospitals and long-term care facilities, to doctors’ appointments, and for shopping.  To obtain a current bus schedule and more information about alternative transportation opportunities, please contact the Center at (708) 354 -1323 Top of page
